After searching online for articles on polygamy in Europe, i came across one focused on the country of France. I was surprised to find that there was such a large amount of polygamy in France and that it had only been outlawed less than 20 years ago. The article focuses on how it is becoming increasingly difficult for the government to break up polygamous families. It was interesting to see both the positive and negative accounts of those who have experienced polygamy. Also i really find it interesting that these woman become a part of these families because of their tradition and their religion. To read the full article, click here.
Wow after this article I became more open minded to the idea of polygamy. It's hard to picture it going on, but in different parts of the world it may be really common. I also had no idea that it took place so much in France!I guess if they're used to their certain customs and traditions they don't want to change.
